3P-INKINGI was founded by NDUWIMANA Pacifique, the founder and legal representative of the association "Peer Psychologists Peaceful, 3P-INKINGI" in short. He holds a degree in Clinical and Social Psychology (University of the Great Lakes) and a master's degree in Governance Sciences (International Leadership University).
Since completing his studies, he has worked entirely in the humanitarian field as a Clinical Psychologist. In 2017, while in the Nakivale refugee camp in Uganda, he experienced psychological distress, which nearly cost him his life in a failed suicide attempt. He was diagnosed with "Acute psychosis with an anxiety disorder." After psychosocial rehabilitation, aided by various supporters (family, psychologists, religious figures, close friends), he regained self-confidence and continued his professional work. Once stabilized, he helped others who faced similar situations.
It is this journey from mental disturbance to recovery, along with special requests to support similar cases, that inspired him to found the organization. Fifteen other members, including psychologists, individuals who have experienced mental disturbances, and people committed to living peacefully with others, joined him to promote education and good mental health within Burundian society through psychosocial support and awareness for people suffering from psychosocial and psychiatric issues.
